I have a friend who has a few firearms, he's looking to get rid of a few to sponsor some new .20,.22 centerfires and a .257 roy. 17HM2 17HMR 22 LR 22 Mag 223 6mm 25-20 250-3000 25-06 6.5 TC/U 6.5 Bullberry 260 Rem 270 Wizzum 270 Roy 7mm TC/U 7mm BR 7-08 284 Win 280 Rem 30-30 308 7.5x55 30-06 30 Super 7.62x39 32 H&R 32-20 8mm Mauser 340 Roy 380 9mm Parabellum 38 Super 38 Special 357 Mag 357 Max 35 Rem 35 Whelen AI 375 H&H 38-40 10mm 41 Mag 416 Taylor 416 Rigby 44 Special 44 Mag 45 ACP 45 Colt 480 Ruger 475 Linebaugh
What do you think he should get rid of first, to finance the others mentioned? Don't be sentimental as to chambering, as there are multiples of almost all of them.

The two TC/U's and the Bullberry are a no brainer, but the 357 Max will have to stay. It is just too much fun, and has some "legal" reasons to exist in a state 15 miles away.
I'm thinking the SKS and AK are turds that should go as well...as Col. Whelen said....easily replaced with AR's if you could buy them.
He forgot about the 30-30 AI in scout config...and a couple 444's
Do you really need a .257 Roy when you have the same in a .270?

I'd keep the 223;the 7/08,284,or 280(pick one),and the 375H&H.Ditch the rest.
The 280 Remington is overbore.
The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.

Blow out the: 6mm 250-3000 25-06 380 41 mag 480 Ruger 475 Linebaugh
Now skip the 257 Roy and get a 264 Win mag.

With that lineup, he's apparently no stranger to circulatin' cash. Tell him to keep up the good work and get a 257 Vanguard sub MOA. Ain't that expensive.

I would have no use for the 17hm2, and the 380. The 7.5x55 and the 30 super, as well as the 480 Ruger and the Linebaugh. Anyway, it looks as if he has some wiggle room.

Ditch the T/CUs, the Bullberry, the .30Super, the SKS, the AK (time likely is never better to offload those for $$$$), the .270WSM, the .30-30AI Scout, the .475, the .480, and the .17HM2.
For starters.............

22 LR 22 Mag 223 25-06 260 Rem 280 Rem 30-30 (What Action?) 30-06 357 Mag (Revolver/Lever?) 357 Max 35 Rem (What action?) 375 H&H 44 Mag (Revolver/Lever?) 45 ACP (1911?) 45 Colt (Revolver/Lever?) I think this is what he should keep. It would simplify his reloading. A lot of overlap there in his chambering. I still like the .22 rimfires better than the .17's. I really hated getting rid of the .35 Whelen AI but the .375 H&H will cover all of the game the .30-06 can't cover. Didn't want to get rid of the .250-3000 but the .25-06 could be loaded down to those levels. Almost didn't keep any .257 cals since he is trying to get another. I'm guessing most of these calibers are in Encore and Contender barrels? It sure would help to know what all these cartridges were chambered in. T/C barrels you can part with, much harder to part with a classic hunting rifle or revolver/pistol.

Yup, and none of them are liberal cock suckers...so I guess you don't make the list.
