Blown out rivers huh?? North Fork, above Big Creek last weekend Boat launch at Coal Creek, no its not a lake access Lots of trash still going down the river, hell I saw part of a house hung up on the Old Steel Bridge yesterday Down here they are still running high but pretty clear. Not sure down in Yellowstone yet. It will be tough but I think monster prince's and giant p-tails will be the way to go. By the way sent you a PM on tents.

Fishing in the lakes has been good too. First time my daughter has been able to fish the scooby doo rod on her own

According to the powers that be, Jesus is on the wagon until mid-August. Poor son of a bitch.
He's heading for a month long camping trip up in the hills soon after.
Trust me, we wouldn't want him around Danny anyway. They might try to kill each other....(grin)

From what I know of Jesus, the courts may have had something to do with his recent sobriety.

Wow, what a long thread. Just my two cents but from a guy who has shot a bunch of 308 ammo and loves the caliber its hard to argue a 308 is equal to a 7mm/08 for performance. 308 falls behind to 7/08
7mm bullet has better BC. Less mass equals less recoil. Good example of this is 300WM versus 7Rem Mag. Both push back but 300WM pushes harder. 308 ammo is easier to find but you wont shoot that much ammo anyway. Buy 250 rds brass and load it. Chances are for hunting you will never wear that brass out.
For a one gun hunting rifle I would get which ever you want. I have killed a bunch of animals with a 7mm. Never felt that bullet lacked anything in terminal effect.
