Dude, Sesame street will never be the same! Dude! " Bubbavision" will never be the same.... Next time I see a show with everyone in camo, talking in southern accents about the 10 inch beards and two inch spurs on their birds...I'm gonna be thinking of this... Soooo...did it taste like chicken? Or did the rabbits taste like chicken? And the Emu taste like rabbit? Ingwe

The Emu was red meat, taste like venison, real good, but lean. So were these.. didn't matter what color was worn though, this one was blinded by the light. Bubbavision would have been a way to describe being driven around on the back of a Yamaha dirt bike with a side by side 12 gauge shooting running roos. Driver was 16 year old rancher's daughter. "Shooting" in Australia was fun, as was eating shrimp on the barbie with a big family out in the sticks...

Okay, I'll concede! The 7mm-08 is the better Emu cartridge! I'd rather have the .308 for Capt. Kanga!

I also shot a running kangaroo from the back seat of a moving station wagon going about 30mph.. one shot kill. lever action 30-30, first time firing that rifle. Crocadile Dundee step aside..

Sumpin tells me that there'd be no shortage of stories by the fire if you were in camp. You get up this way you got an open invitation to tour the local breweries...I'll buy the beer.

Oh, and put in my vote for the 7-08 as being the better of the two. I'll wait another couple hundred pages before I say why....

Of, yeah, almost forgot...caught a 5.5 foot Cottonmouth one night, no flaslight and not enough sense in my young head to cut the line ( I wanted that skin...) Got him up on shore and did a Mexican hat dance in the dark with him,and a knife, but I emerged triumphant! No wonder I would come home to find my mother crying if I was too late comin' in from the swamps... Ingwe Silly me!, I thought Jeff O was the nut on this thread! You reeled in a pissed off animal with that attitude in the dark?

Wow. record useless thread. Here's my first 7mm-08 success. The cartridge performed flawlessly, as did the bullet, which I don't know what it was. It was the first time I fired it, a loaner. Big bird. I've been equally impressed with the 7mm-08 on rabbits. Clearly superior to the 308. WRONG! You are down under. The Coriolis effect requires that 308 be referred to as 7.62x51 or they won't work. You shoulda knowed dat. . . . . BMT
