Many i see who are leaving, are leaving due to the economy. They claim they can come back anytime they want. With such things as home building being slow, many don't have the framing or masonary jobs that they did.
The same with the nursery industry within mid. TN. No new homes means a cutback in landscaping, which leads to a reduction of trees and shrubs etc, being grown on the nursery farms.

The really sad part is - and nobody ever thinks about this : Who's gonna pick all the Watermelons - Oranges- and all the other field crops- wont be any US citizen -
We are all immigrants - every single one of us - unless of course your Indian -
I could careless who comes into this country so long as they get a job - pay taxes - and are law abiding citizens once they get here ..I believe thats the way ALL of our ancestors did it ...
I dont have anyhting for the dude that "sneaks" into a country-

You're talking skilled labor. I'd also hazard a guess that many of those you're talking about ain't illegal. There are still thousands pouring across each day. For one Mezkin that is skilled and goes home, ten come across that are unskilled and are just here for the party. I was in Kansas City this weekend and it was like a [bleep] fiesta.

Economy is part of it but the Arizona law seems to have spurred some national interest in the illegal part of immigration.

This is all the more reason for the (ILLEGALS) to get out if they leave, the jobs they leave will half to be filled with some one and that would mean Citizens or legal aleans. Unemployment would be helped and welfare could posibly be slowed. You con not change some one that does not want to be changed (welfare) but if you could give some one a chance, some will take it. When there is no chance we all give up after time. Peaple have given up in this country and we need to change that attitude to the attitude that made tghis country great.

What is wrong with the send em home mentality? Thats what they would do to you if you got caught in their country with no papers. Sad for the kids- yes, but that is not our fault for enforcing the law. It has always been the law. It was the law when they came here illiegaly and decided to bring children into the mix. You can not selectivly enforce laws. If you prove you will enforce the law and send them home not just to another area that will ignore their status maybe we can get a handle on this thing.

Was a thread by one of our liberals about a couple who's visa was up.... and may have to leave... BOO HOO>.. same deal there, if I let my DL or CHL expire guess who gets in hot water? No difference. Found 3 folks on the job the other day whose State Electrical journeyman had expired... that cost them 9000.00 bucks.... IE the responsibility is to the folks.... not to the rest of us who are here legally.
Now get me off on the muslim thread.... I lean more and more to send em all home today...
