Just got my hands on some 165gr 30 cal GMX bullets for the 30-06. Any of you guys shot this bullet yet? Powder will either be Hunter or H-4350. This will be a load for mule deer. Thanks guys. Tom

Let me know how they shoot for you. I've played with the same bullet in a normally excellently accurate 300 win mag tikka and 300 wsm with no luck.
FWIW they also seemed to make more pressure than the 168 ttsx clocking about 50 fps faster with like loads.
I tried several powders that had been accurate with the ttsx and also like seating depth without good news. I'm gonna try them in my 308 varmiter next.....but.....as of now I'm glad I'm getting to the end of the box and wont order more.

Checking my notes for my 270 Win, I also get around 50 fps velocity increase. Accuracy has been around 1.25 " at 100.
I think you need to fiddle with seating depth.
I bought them more out of curiosity. We don't have any lead prohibited hunting areas here, so it's a moot point. Sierras in the same rifle shoot around half an inch.for five shots.

I have a current load using them in my 300 win mag 165 gr GMX. Not sure on the velocity yet, but soon will chrony them. I have them seated about .100" off the lands. Hornady said they like a lot of jump. Using 75 grs. RL-22 and getting .587" group at 100 meters and 2 1/2" group at 320 yards. I got pressure signs at 78grs of RL-22 after switching from 165 gr SST. They advertise you could use the same load data, they were wrong. I got flat primers, and ejector marks as well.

I have used them in my 06 using 150gr getting 1" groups but settled on 150gr TSX. I have to use lead free bullets in our hunting zone, gotta love California....

I never did believe that statement even when Nosler said it about the eTips. The 180gr .308 eTip has so much more bearing surface than the Partition, BT, or AB, that if I were to seat it at the same OAL and use the same charge, I would get excessive pressure. When I posted my 180gr eTip load (52grs I4350 @ 3.255 OAL), some folks said that was too light of a load. I don't think they knew how long those bullets were. That load by the way is very accurate out of my Stevens 200 and at 100 yards is about a 4 inch drop from my 110gr Speer using 56grs of VARGET.

Hodgdon's load for 180gr Sierra SPBT using I4350 is 53 to 56.5C.

Since RL17 has been working so nicely, I might try that one next.
