I got a couple bags of these and am gonna reload these. Who has had good luck loading with these bullets, Nosler BT in 95gr and 90gr? I see alot of folks rave on Sierra for the 6mm bullets in the 75/80gr range but hardly see any mention of the 90/95 NBT. I know 100gr is popular in the .243 too but I got these to try out in my lefty BDL.
I know these are typically deer loads but I'd shoot at targets of opportunity too.
TIA...

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you looking for accurate loads in a .243 Win or are you looking for impressions of performance on game with these bullets? And what is a target of opportunity? Coyotes? Deer? Rabbits? Paper? If terminal performance is what you're after see here: https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthread...locity_for_best_performance_#Post4193186

exbiologist,
I just read (via google) that many folks did not (or is it could not) develop accurate loads with the 95/90gr NBT. Of course that article/posting was from 3 years ago so maybe that is not the case anymore. I use my 243's for varmints/targets but thought I'd try the 95/90gr NBT. My concern is I hardly see anyone rave about accuracy loads with the 90/95NBT. As stated I have not shot deer size animals with 243 as I always prefer the heavier bullets to keep them on my place haha.

The 95gr BT is the favorite bullet of my .243. With 40.5grs of H4350 or 45grs of IMR7828, its shoots right around 1/2" whether its hot or cold outside.

My old Ruger .243 Win. hardly shot anything much better than about 1 3/4" at 100 yards. I combined the 95gr BT with 40.0 grains of IMR4350 and it will do 3/4" most of the time with that load.

Mine 243 likes the 95 grain BT and IMR 4350.

In one of my 700 Stainless, 43.5g of IMR 4350 with a Win primer(critical) is super accurate with the bullet touching the lands! I use the same load with a 95g Partition.
I would bump the powder charge with the 90's. Let us know what you find out.

I have not had 95 bts shoot well for me yet. I have had better accuracy with 85 gr bullets, but I want to try the 90gr bts and I will in the next few years. Manuals show a nice jump in velocity over the 95s with minimal bc loss.

Well since I have a couple bags of each 90 and 95gr BT's I will see how they do in my rifle. At least I have enough rifles to test 'em out at the range.
TIA

I shoot other bullets too, but 95g NBT's are my fall back in the 6mm Rem.....I know they are super accurate.

I like using both.. and prefer the MV to be 2700 fps or less... even tho not max velocities, you will see much less meat damage potential at the lower MVs...and they will open up right down to about 1400 to 1500 fps impact velocity...
my favorite load with either is 30 grains of RL 7 or 35 grains of IMR 4064 or IMR 4895... H 322 ( 30 grains) is also a very popular load for me..
