Calvin and VA,
You guys are sticking up for him but he needs to understand that being the azzhole is a one way ticket to nowhere.
So he had some bad schit happen. Guess what tomorrow might bring more bad shcit and it might bring good shcit but trying to be the azzhat on every post won�t change that.
He obviously has a lot of knowledge and experience but who cares if all he wants is to fight with every post??
I've asked 'Stick questions/advice, and gotten straight answers, every time. I've argued with him, called him an azzhole, and been insulted back. I've been invited by him to hunt with him and his, stay at his place, at his instigation, not mine. I've seen him offer more than advice (think goods, hand's-on assistance, etc.) to several, some he'd never met nor will meet, with no prompting. I've laughed at his schtick, and been laughed at because of it. All in all, you take the good with the sometimes not-so-good, roll with it, and keep going. Other than that, it's what you make of it. Most of that comes with time, with seeing things, and with just being around and finding out who and what folks are, and aren't. YMMV, of course.

Little guy can climb a mountain.. If I pack all his gear! Sat in the fog for a day watching a bowl after overnighting up top, hoping for wx to clear as I had a feeling a hog was home. Seen Big Stick put a picture of a kid up a time or 3 hisself.

Didnt think so. Sorry, I was too busy sorting through hundreds of 2010 pics. We plan to make 2011 2x as good, now that the boys are all trained up. Yes, I've seen Mule Deer. Been to an area outside of Antelope OR more than a few times..

Cool. Pack a 5wt rod. If you have a free day I know a guy who has a drift boat and likes to float the Deschutes for redsides in June. He can be a stubborn ass some times, but hes a nice guy when you get to know him.  Salmonflies should be out in force then.
