Never said illness - I am saying the only way to stop the importation of drugs is to make it economically unnecessary - not difficult. Difficult lets you raise the price and thus entices more to try or those doing it to become more violent/ingenious to get it here.

If I am a drug cartel and I can't sell my product due to a complete lack of market - why would I produce it? Like you say - take away the users and you have no reason to make the chit - there's no one to sell it to.

Keep the users and you always have someone to sell to and the harder you make it to get (by taking down dealers/producers/killing the grow fields) the more they can charge which will ALWAYS entice someone to try and make it/sell it.

You guy's are missing the point in this case. You CAN NOT produce cocaine anywhere in the world but this very small region of the Andes. It's not like a weed that grows anywhere, poppies that grow anywhere dry or a chemical compound you can blend in a coke bottle.
