When I see people paying $6000 for a rifle or $10,000 or $20,000 (seen a wood stocked Echols lately?), or $150,000 for a car or $6,000,000 (or whatever they cost) for a new private jet, I always wonder how such people can be called suckers.

Seems like it would be hard for a sucker to have accumulated enough dough to drop that much on any kind of toy.

Maybe they're incredibly smart in their personal business and/or investments, plus having the balls to risk everything to accumulate so much, but really stupid in all other areas of their life?

Got that one too, and you are correct, they is sumpthin.
Only fired twelve rounds out of the 6.5 and am ready to hunt long range (well sorta long range out to 800, but will shoot a little further toorrow, maybe). In my defense I had to mount the scope, sight it in, work up a load and hang an 800 yard target. 66.6gr vv560 pushing 140 bergers at 3350ish may not be your cup of tea, but for these little ol deer we got down here it should be bad medicine. You probably would not care for the long tube or stock either, but I hunt like swampman. I ride the golf cart to the stand overlooking crap no one can walk through and shoot em when they come out, or expose themselves on a hillside. We have some rather large cutovers down here.

I know some of those guys. They sometimes let their intelligence override their common sense.

Oh, yeah. Trust me, a man who can make a lot of money can also be a freaking retard "in all other areas" of his life.

Met more than a few of them.

Guess he's never seen one of Paris Hilton's shopping spree's for 10K's jeans while driving her F1 McLaren. Those things happen when you get 27 million handed to you for doing dick (yea I know about her film exploits).

500yd eggs are not difficult on a range. There is a reason you have never seen another 1000yd coyote on video.

People shot critters at 1k on video - it's not a coyote so I guess it ain't chit but I'm also guessing that a good speedgoat would introduce a touch more "buck fever" than some yote....

If the amount they spend is insignificant to them then the sucker label doesn't really apply. Still hard to get my head around the thought that their $6000 is relative to my $60. I know I won't drive too far to save $2 for gas. Hemingway was right about the rich being different. They have more money. And that from a guy that had some pricey guns too.

Don't see too many folks payin' Porsche sticker for a Ford Taurus regardless of their bank account level.
Especially a Ford Taurus with an unknown make of motor...

Seen many folks take a Ford Taurus of known pedigree and make a decent to/from work ride though. Don't require a special "custom fuel" either.

2 Lopes over 1k

Guy saved himself some cheddar - 3900.00 dollar rifle with scope...

So that's a 2100 dollar savings or basically 54% of another rifle.

Long range moose kill. Dropped like he'd been hit with a sledge hammer at 1100 yards. Didn't need no stinking $6k "custom" rifle either.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

To be fair - that doesn't include load development. So at 210 dollars a round - spring for the GB and get the load development done.

And before someone gets a sandy mangina - ain't bashing his shooting, no one has, the issue is still with his claims of his rifle. THAT'S that this is about, even tho any questioning of said rifle turns into a "You can't shoot better n me" from Burns.

Question ain't about shooting - it's about quality of the product. Guarantee you I'd shoot just as well with the 3900.00 special as I would with the 6k GB. Doesn't matter how well or not that actually is - the man claims his is the best, nothing else is as good. I should (concievably) shoot better with his than the $3900.00 one.

Ain't necessarily so....

(And we'll not talk about his complete BS about an Al bedding block counteracting thermal expansion of the Al scope several inches away - even tho they ain't the same alloy or connected in a thermally important way)

Honestly, the question is about HOW he is handling questions about the product.

No one can ruin sales faster than the sales staff themselves.

Simple, in the example of the car, if you're paying $150k, you better get this.
