I'm curious if the top and bottom of your stocks still show a distinct line where the halfs were put together?

All of mine have the mold lines, although they are typically smoothed over. Paint would hide them, but paint sucks.... (grin)

All of mine do. NOBODY ever notices them except the owner of the rifle...

Who cares what color the curtains are, as long as they match the carpet?

A small throw rug can add color, texture, and design elements to a room with hardwoods though.

Well seeing as we can't plug the colors choices into the McMillan site to see kind of what the stock ordered will look like, this is the next best thing!!!

Although I prefer wood stocks, seeing these photos has swayed me into perhaps ordering a McMillan, just to see if there is a benefit.

I know, I certainly find the looks of some of these stocks very appealing

Respects,

Richard

Well, I got my McSwirley in the post today, took about 2.5 - 3 months, start to finish. Got to thank Rick for the really good service on ordering, checking, re-checking and shipment. Excellent service.
Now the specs, this stock is a Sako Hunter left hand in a Winchester M70 right hand action, colours are 50% forest green, 25% dark grey and 25% white. Pillars installed, 14" LOP and a 1" decelerator. The rifle is a push feed M70 with a Bartlein 1-8" #2 barrel, 24" long. Calibre is 7x57mm.
Scope is a Leupold 4.5-14. It weighs 8lb 11 oz empty.

He guys please forgive me, but are the McMillan stocks worth the money. I have never owned one and other than reading about them on here, I am not familiar with them. It appears that those stocks are as favorite on here. What is it that sets them apart from the others such as Bell and Carson? Lightweight, Strength, Color Options? I must say you guys have posted some great looking rifle stocks.

Girl at work says there is no carpet. Hotter than burning toast.
