How do you like your M7 Predator? Last year I was torn between the M7 Predator in 22-250 or a CZ Predator in 223 (only caliber they come in). Ended up with the CZ, loved the set trigger plus the local dealer is a great guy.

If going factory the LVSF options are great as are the Montana 223, and 243. I like the M7 predator but like the lvsf's and the montana's better.

aalf, that looks like a coyote gettin, chuck launching sob. What bullets are you running in it?

MtnHtr, that is ironic you didn't show the famous coyote bomber in this coyote thread. I guess your 223 is lighter though, wasn't the bomber a 5 contour?

I was thinking LVSF as well,I picked up a Model 7 Predator in .204 to complement my 24" .22-.250AI.The Model 7 is a handy little package,(though the stock weighs a ton!),I use it a lot when hunting smaller farms. Monashee

Not too good sir...for me at least. I've heard there are ways though, with a sling.

And at 9.25lbs I prefer the lighter 223 if alot of walking is on order. I do walk with the CB, just not as far.

Why build when you can buy one of these? That'd be a Kimber Montana .223 topped with a Leupold Mark AR 3-9x40mm.

I like the Predator with 9 twist alot more then my 7 stainless 20" 223 with 12 twist. I think the Predator is the answer to the discontinued LVSF. Has the fluted barrel plus full camo. Deep snow here so range time has been limited. Once I choose my load it'll be off to find some fur.

You can purchase the Predator in 223, 22-250 and 243. Might grab a 243 next.

Here are a couple of my rigs I use mainly for calling coyotes.

This one is a 223AI DogZapper style all the way and works wonderfully.



This one is a 6BR. Sports a #3 Schneider at 22" with a McClassic stock.



I would say bullet choice is critical; however, I think 22 calibers are the cats azz for killing coyotes in my neck of the woods.

GreatWaputi will that shoot 75 grain bullets? I was wondering if the 223 is fast enough to use a 1 in 9 inch twist with the 75's.

I have a friend who uses the Privi 223 75gr in his 9 twist AR. Absolutely loves that bullet from a 16" barrel.

Ackleyfan, this gun did not feed at all until doing the Bryant mag box alteration. It feeds fairly well now. I am not sure what caliber this action started life as. I had another 6BR which fed flawlessly and had no modification. It started as an early 1970's 243 Rem 700.

Honestly never tried the 75gr Amax. I know guys are shooting them with good results through Montana .223's, but they're having to tweak the mag box, etc. Heaviest bullets I've shot so far is the 69gr Sierra Matchkings (factory Federal Gold Medal Match ammo) and it absolutely loves 'em!

Temperatures are not bad but the wind wont go away making things worse.

Can't remember what I ordered but think it was 70/30. Tried to match some natural gear camo.

Mines very similar, except for turrets on scope. Mine weighs 8# on a postal scale...

I'm gathering all the parts for a 6br build will probaly do Mike Bryants mag mod to get it to feed,Thanks AF
