I like the 1968 Charger R/T and the 1970 'Cuda. Engine? Hemi w/4speed manual of course is preferable but small blocks are cool too (perhaps an 1970 AAR 'Cuda). Perhaps in Rallye Green or Alpine White for the 'Cuda. I used to have a bright yellow 1970 Banannacuda and one of my bro's had a orange 1970 Cuda with a replacement 360 engine. My older bro bought a new 1969 Dodge Superbee in Rallye Green, 383 w/4speed.
How about you?
Be safe Patty

tzone; I hope this finds you and yours acceptably well tonight tzone. Back in the day, my very quiet Mennonite brother in law came home with a '68 Fairlane GT. If memory serves it was a high compression 390 and I know it was a 4 speed. My sister isn't a big lady and it was all she could do to keep the clutch down for more than a few seconds. I seem to recall it didn't like regular gas all that much either. For me, the ultimate car has always been the '69 GTO Judge package with a 400CI. In the little Saskatchewan city where we used to go see whose car went the quickest, I watched one eat a Mustang one night like it was standing still. Now that Mustang had eaten my own '71 T-37 the weekend before, despite my carefully tuned, bored and balanced 283 small block running well that night. So when the Judge did away with that little Ford, I knew what I wanted! Have a good evening tzone. All the best to you and yours. Regards, Dwayne

I sense a Mopar tendency........... I love the ones you mentioned, and would add a 69-70 Challenger. The E bodies are sexy. Wouldn't mind a '68 Vette L88 Roadster or '69 Convertible with the ZL-1 motor either A 67 Shelby GT500 with a 427 side-oiler would be OK I suppose, since this is all pretend money I'm spending. Realistically, I would probably build (or recreate) a highland green 68 GT390 Fastback so I could wear out tires and pretend my name was Frank. Not the fastest of the era, but the one that still gives me goose bumps EVERY time I watch the 10min clip.

Two I've owned....a 1970 Dodge Daytona...with high wing and 426 Hemi engine.......and a 1971 Ford Torino Talledega.....with 429 engine and 550 Hp from the factory.
Sadly, I no longer own either one.....but what a thrill when I did in the 70's.

lhonda; Thanks for the kind words sir, I do appreciate them very much and will do my best to deserve them. I would love to see any and all GTO photos! Those years of A bodies were my favorite somehow, so whether it's a Buick Special, an Olds 442, Chevelle or a Goat, I liked 'em all equally. My '71 T37 was a sedan version A body and was as close as I'll likely get to owning a GTO. I believe I don't possess the self control needed to own that much power anymore. That and frankly, our eldest daughter who will begin to drive this summer appears to have inherited some of her father's weaknesses. I've already warned her not be racing our slightly modified '03 Cummins 4x4 and she swears up and down she won't...... Thanks again sir, I do appreciate your kind words. All the best to you and yours this week. Regards, Dwayne

Had three muscle cars, favorite was a 65' Chevelle Malibu SS 300HP 327 4 spd. Hindsight I think I would have opted for mid 60's 426 Hemi and kept it.

My dream car is a '71 Hemi Cuda in Hemi orange with flat black. I recall seeing a picture of one on the Campfire just a day or so ago in the background of a photo of some rifle.

In 1965 I bought a new 442 convertible. Sure was a contrast to the Buick station wagon! Tire longevity seemed to be a problem.
