The Pacer still gives me the creeps but I liked the red white and blue AMX '70?
A late '60s Dodge Dart with a 340 would still work for me.

Fellow Campfire Muscle Car Enthusiasts:
After my post last night I was thinking that we had some photos of the '71 T37 I mentioned somewhere. With apologies for a bit of a sketchy scan, here is the bored and balanced 283 that powered it.

[Linked Image]

Now this photo might even qualify for lhonda's thread on whether or not we had the intestinal fortitude to post a picture from our youth. blush

Anyway, it's one of the few that prove I did actually possess hair on the top of my head at one point in my life. laugh

Not too long after this photo was taken, I traded the car and some cash to a fellow who couldn't make the payments on his '80 Toyota 4x4. While I missed the car a bit, that Toyota would take me and my soon to be wife all over the back country of 3 provinces.

Anyway, thanks to all who've posted and especially those who've posted photos of their cars. There are/were some very, very fine examples that showed up and I enjoyed them all - excepting perhaps the Pacer. wink

Regards,
Dwayne

My scanner's broke, but in the early 1980's a had a '74 Camaro Z-28.
Took a small block 4 bolt main chevy, put some forged steel rods, a good crank, 205 fuelie heads, o-ringed the block and topped it with a polished aluminum 671 blower spinning 10% over crank speed with two big Holleys on top.
I was about to mount a narrowed 9" Ford rear w/discs when I took it to the track.
Mistake.
Splattered the lower end all over the track.
I soon realized I had nowhere near the cash to play that game. I parted her out and became content to watch the big boys race.

I still think the nostalgia nitro burning funny cars are a hoot.

They look so damn cool as well.

When I was a kid (right around 1966, I believe), the man across the street had a really cool black Mustang. I've never forgotten it. Looked just like this:

The one Megan Fox is bent over in that movie. Never really noticed what kind of car it is, though.

I HAD a '68 GTO with a 400, 4 speed and under 60,000 original miles, all matching numbers and beautiful in Vadero Green.

Sold it in a weak moment four years ago to a guy with over $20K in a brown paper bag?

Loved the car. Didn't really care for the Car Show and detailing routine.

Fun while it lasted. Don
