Never had a problem with 55gr. soft points out of a 22-250 except its there so fast I don't have time to see the animal go down! Akin to "bragging" about jerking off,because you've never been laid. Once you whittle your first hunk,your tune will change. Write that down................

I know a 55 grain out of either on a coyote will react the same and I know a 223 is fine for paper punching. Heck for that purpose its better than a 22-250 but for deer no contest. If you were to load the same bullets in each and shoot a deer in the vitals with them the results would be substantially different, I know I have seen this many times.
