Oh boy, Dave!

SWMBO has spoken... only a fool would not consider that VERY carefully! smile

And (not that what I think matters!), I like all of the paint schemes posted! The black looks best in the show room, but that coppery colour might be best in the real world. smile

So is it to be black now???

The clear coat doesn't care what it goes over, and none of the primer cares what's over it...

We'd just need some black base coat, the sunburnt copper base would look good on the 77 ford pickup.....

Ahh, yes I understand, and I totally agree it is true sometimes.

like when a woman says "we should buy a boat"

Or, "hey you like old winchesters right? there's one in the classifieds in the paper here...."

or "we should paint the road runner black"

grin

Honey, don't you need a new rifle for this fall?

The only reason I have a black vehicle (two) is because I don't live on (or near) a gravel road or have a gravel driveway. I would not recommend it to anyone if they do. It will be dirty right after you wash it. Tough shade if you want to keep it looking nice. The copper is great for hiding dust and dirt.

The copper will look superb, like the car was forged out of a block of solid copper!

sorry. I like the copper. The black looks like a hoodmobile. Not that my opinion matters. smile

For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I got a little blasting done tonight, not the best because my blasting nozzle was missing and I couldn't find one in town at any of the stores. So I had to make a temporary one out of a 1/8" pipe cap with some gringing and a small hole drilled in the end.

It worked good enough to get things cleaned well enough for a coat of POR15, tomorrow.

I test fit the trunk floor pan and marked it from under the car for drilling the holes that will be plug welded to the frame rails.

The green tape is to keep the weld surfaces clean. I peeled the tape and sprayed those areas with a weld through zinc primer.
