What you feel about '06 is how I feel about .270. Just... bleah. Such a profoundly bad idea, a permanent grafitti tag on the otherwise clean brick architecture of the 30-06. A hellspawn mutant that should have been smothered in it's own afterbirth. Shudder. <grins> I've owned both a 30-06 and a 270 at one time or another. I prefer the 270 myself, although I've never met a deer that could tell the difference.

It doesn't move me- just one of those things- but I'm sure it's a fine round.
