My my tactical rifle will be completed shortly so I can no longer take any more time in making a decision

What would you choose for shooting paper out to 600 yards

March 10x60 or the Bender 12x50. This what I have narrowed my choice down to

They are both fantastic scopes and incredable glass just need some help in deciding which one of the two I would be happier with

They both have great glass. The March scopes aren't built as heavy as the S&B's. Mine felt like the tube was thinner than most tactical scopes. Does this mean they aren't as strong? I honestly don't know but would think they are strong enough. I think either would be an excellent 600yd scope. I would like a second plane reticle better if I was target shooting which favors the March. One thing to keep in mind though is all the March scope reticles except the DI & FFP are super thin and will dissapear fast in the late afternoon. A lot sooner than I think they should. They offer a lighted reticle but it's a $600 option.

My new March scope will be here around the 1rst week of June - can't wait to try it out!!

I love S&B scopes, but I just had to try a March scope after checking them at the SHOT Show this year - I went with the March Tactical 2.5-25x42mm

Made my plane ticket for the 1st week in July I am in hopes that I will be with him on the 2nd week to build it

What does that beauty weigh? I mean the scope.

Proven but heavy = S&B

Fairly new to the game & less weight = March

Either scope is VERY nice glass!!

I'd feel safer with a S&B incase a repair problem accured. Surely both are good scopes, but there man made & you just never know.

For instance...Jeff(300MAG) purchased a $2500 Zeiss couple months ago and the turret was broke(was replaced within 2 weeks). What would be the repair/replacement time with a S&B vs March?

S&B does now have a US repair facility.

The March would have to go back to Japan.
I got to play alittle with the new 8-80 March awhile ago.
Some of the best glass that i've seen ,no dought about it.

......Tuff call.
If a persons going to play like I do. Deer,chucks and targets.
I just keep swapping mine around as needed,untill I can get another one....
I like the FFP 5-25.
Pretty flexable in FFP as I use it for just about everything.
If I was looking at target work only the 12-50 SFP Schmidt would be pretty hard to beat.
The 8-80 March and the 5-25 Schmidt, are very close to the same acutal size ......damm big.But for the most part its just like having a spotting scope on top of the rifle.Kinda handie.
For me.
For a full on BR rifle.I'd do a March and never look back.
For a do everything optic. S&B all the way.

The view from behind this Hensoldt is really nice.

No dought.
But I would wonder about repair on the Hensoldt.
Half a year to sourkrout land and back aint floating my boat.

Big difference between hunting and BR in just the numbers of rounds fired.

I'd still take the Hensoldt over any loopie.
The Hensoldt might need fixed someday.
The loopie would be luckey to get out of the box without being fixed not repaired before its even used.

Jeff, He decided on the best scope money can buy. Swarovski Z6.

Went with March Got a heck of a deal Should be waiting for me when I get to Robert's shop to build my rifle

Slg888 I have 12 Swarovskis now. They are a great scope just wanted to go with a more of a tactical scope

I have the 8 X 80 March and it beats my Swaro. Do not know how it compairs to the S & B's but my next scope will probably be another March.
Kelbley's told me that the 8 X 80 holds up to the 50BMG

10x60 March. It is better than the 8x80 in low light.
