The montana stock is great. The pad is nice and soft which takes the sting out of the recoil very well. My 338 Fed jumps pretty good off of the bench, but it is still fairly pleasant to shoot.
The LAST thing I would do after buying a montana is spend another 500 bucks on a McSwirly, even though they are pretty cool sometimes.

Yep spend 1K on the rifle and dump another 1/2k on a puke ugly Mcyuckly for no reason.

Apparently that ram didn't read that only stainless synthetic rifles work in Alaska.

Sorry for all the deer in the pics, but I just don't have any of the rifle by itself...

I still haven't figured out why it doesn't shoot like all the other Kimbers I read about. This one shoots like this pretty much all the time.

You guys are killin' me with these pics. Hunting season needs to get here quick so I can hang one with the Montana 260.

Outstanding pics all.

Season opens Aug 15th here in SC. The Velvet Buck my wife is holding was killed Aug 15th, about 3 years ago.

Well, don't lose any sleep over it - McMillan doesn't make a stock for a Kimber 84, or a 8400 for that matter...

Here's mine in 30-06. A straight up weapon of mass destruction. It shoots 180 Hornady's about .75" everytime I check its zero. Its my only Kimber rifle at this time. Im on the hunt for a 260 or a short mag of sorts as we speak.
