The montana stock is great. The pad is nice and soft which takes the sting out of the recoil very well. My 338 Fed jumps pretty good off of the bench, but it is still fairly pleasant to shoot. The LAST thing I would do after buying a montana is spend another 500 bucks on a McSwirly, even though they are pretty cool sometimes.

Yep spend 1K on the rifle and dump another 1/2k on a puke ugly Mcyuckly for no reason.

Well, don't lose any sleep over it - McMillan doesn't make a stock for a Kimber 84, or a 8400 for that matter...

Here's mine in 30-06. A straight up weapon of mass destruction. It shoots 180 Hornady's about .75" everytime I check its zero. Its my only Kimber rifle at this time. Im on the hunt for a 260 or a short mag of sorts as we speak. Joseph
