Depends on where I will be hunting them. I missed all of last year so I am going all out.

Here in VA, where I live:
H&R Ultra Slug 12 Ga with a ML 2-7 Leupold (on base hunting).
1946 Transition Model 70 in 250-3000 with a Lyman Alaskan.
1937 savage 99G in 300 Savage with a Lyman Alaskan in a stith.
Last two are really nice days. smile

Montana:
Tikka SS T3 in 300 WM with 3.5-10 Zeiss Coquest
Custom Rem Model 7 MS in 350 RM with a 1.5-5 Leupold

North Carolina
Pre-64 Model 88 in 308 with 4x Weaver (for Bruce)
Kimber Montana in 7mm-08 with Leupold FXIII 6x

Michigan:
Grandpa's guns

West Virginia:
Pre-64 Model 70 in 257 Roberts with Leupold VX-II
Ithaca LSA-55 in 308 with Leupold 3.5-10
Kimber Montana for bad weather.

Always a struggle in choosing between my two favorites: the M70 .270 WIN & the M88 .308 WIN, but I bet the M88 will be with me on opening day.

I have to hunt with this M94 .32WS, a gift from a dear friend right before he passed a year and a half ago - I told him I would get a buck for him with it but never got a shot last season.

If I manage to blood all three of the guns above then I plan to host an old time, down east deer hunt, the way my Dad and Great Uncles used to hunt - get some deer hounds turned out in the swamp and ring the surrounding fields with stump sitters shooting buck shot - going to use my M12 16 gauge for that hunt.

Probably start out with the new M70 Fwt. 7-08 pushing 139 Hornady. To defend myself from Ingwe's dogs I'll note that I bought the 7-08 because Winchester/Browning doesn't see fit to chamber in 7x57 these days.
After properly breaking in the Fwt, I'll probably break out the old reliables. Ruger MkII 257 Roberts or Tang Safety 250 Savage both shooting the 100 Hornady.

Sako 85 Finnlight in 270 Win with a Zeiss Duralyt in 2-8 x 42.
Federal Vital Shok 130 grain BT's should do the trick.
