I have had great results with H4831SC and the 140gr. Accubond. Matter of fact, Nosler's minimal load is very accurate, shoots flat and is easy on the shoulder.

i'm running 56.0 grains of imr4350 in mine under a 140 ttsx. not a hard load, but i get just over 3100 fps in my 26 inch barrel. shoots great, and ain't stressin nuthin.
i tried the campfire load of n165, and blew a primer. had enough of that.

My .280's (and a 7x64) have liked IMR 4350 at 56 or 57 grains with 140 grainers of all sorts. Don't know why that wouldn't be a safe starting point for an AI...

I would start with Hod 4831SC. I'm a big fan of 160 gr bullet in the 280 AI over the lighter bullets.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Reloader 19-59.5 to 63.0. 3200fps w/140's. RL19 has less pressure per volume versus some other powders. powdr

+1 for N165. I used 63.5 with the 140.

That's the exact bullet (and only one) I shoot in my 280 AI.
Try RL22 and you won't be disappointed.

Nosler 280AI here.
They seem to be well made and I haven't trashed one yet.
