Denver. Close to good mountain climbing and hunting. Only reason I would ever live in any city would be for those reasons.

I spent a lot of time thinking about moving back to Texas and still would love the weather, but the population of so many cities just kills it for me. I don't like the weather up here, but the lack of population offsets it. Oklahoma is a balance between the two.
DFW used to be a dang good town when I was growing up.

Seeing as how I've got some great in-laws in Kentucky, I'd probably go with Lexington or Louisville.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.

In between Joplin and Springfield right off the interstate, is one of the biggest denture dealers in the country. You're thinking of where Bristoe is from. When the Clampetts struck oil, lots of folks got their teeth fixed.

I don't want to leave Oregon but Portland sux IMHO. Of the larger towns in Oregon, the Eugene/Springfield area would be my first choice.
From that list, I'd probably pick Colorado Springs. My daughter is there. Got a long time internet/shootin' buddy there. Got others in Boulder and Denver, adequately nearby.
Anyone who thinks there's two sides to everything hasn't met a Mbius strip.
Here be dragons ...

I'm there!

Almost all the hillbillies moved to California. Most around here now are from Illinois.

Cole, in the spirit of your question, I quess my choices would be Albuquerque and Colorado Springs. Both have access to the mountains and hunting areas, stores and resturants are generally stocked with Hatch Green Chiles. Life would be good!

If someone told me I would have to go live in a big city I would run and hide. I think I would rather just die than me packed into big city life.
But if I were captured and forced my first two choices would be Portland or Seattle.

I live in 38... if I had to move, from those choices it would be Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Anchorage.
