Boy, this is like choosing your own poison!! From experience I guess I'd have to say: 1. - Anchorage, AK 2. - Colorado Springs, CO 3. - Albuquerque, NM If it had to be in the Eastern part of the country I guess from what I have seen I'd say Buffalo, NY. I might not like all the snow though.

LMAO.. NONE of 'em... They got Milwaukee? Murderapolis?? Detroit??
Top cities for what, high crime rates?
Pass - I'll stick to western SD.. Nolo comprende' today? I said "if you had to" and based the places on the top cities as to population, nothing else. These ain't my idea of the best places to live. It's just an academic exercise. Theoretical, if you will. If you don't like the parameters, don't participate, but it's not like I just pulled it all out of my asss.

The whole thing is interesting. I think most people choose the country at least, theoretically. There are drawbacks to living there too. I've lived in both and prefer the country, hands-down, but there are advantages to living in the city, I have to admit.

The only thing I miss about living in the city is there are more places to go out and eat at. Now where I live to get any diversity we have to travel 40-50 miles to go out to eat. You got to be real hungry.

I spent 7 years in Austin. Have no desire to return. I work in Albuquerque now. Let's just say I live a little bit out of town.
Tucson isn't bad either.

I've lived in a few of those cities, and there isn't one I'd want to live in again. There isn't even one on the list that I'd want to live in. Abou the only cities I would move to are: 1 St. Augustine, Fl. 2 W.P. Beach, Fl. 3 Charleston, SC There are much better choices on that list than West Palm Beach. And that's from someone who is from WPB.

Anchorage #1, Colorado Springs #2, but I sure did miss real rivers when I lived in the Springs. I didn't see it listed, but Boise might be up there. If they could just get the college to change the turf.

If I absolutely had to or die it would be Corpus Christi. My smart alec answer is that I would rather be dead. But, if I had a gun to my head, I probably would pick Colorado Springs (because I am familiar with it) or, maybe, Anchorage. With some due diligence I may flip the order.

to bad Casper and Cheyenne are not on the list! +1000 If we had unlimited resources, this may not be our choice, but Cheyenne is very cost effective and a nice, family place to live with a lot of nearby outdoor opportunities.
