My last purchase was a 7mm-08. But sometimes I think I should have gone with a 25-06. Also own a 270 and sold a 6mm. Anyone of the 4 should do you just fine

25-06 with 100s (or 115s) is flat and low recoil. (noticeably less than a 270 with 130 or 150s, for me at least).

Bolt action. Barrel no longer than 22". No magnums/AI. Flattest trajectory with 85gr-140gr bullets. Deer killer. What is your choice? Good criteria. Don't need a magnum to kill deer. Good range of bullet weights. Lots of good choices out there--my choice is 6.5X55, but I settled for a 6.5-08 in a 22" barrel. Plenty of power for deer. Modest weight and recoil.

Moses you mean the 110 TTSX in 270? Yes it does.I have fired them, but not chronographed them....3300-3400 should be doable.
Actually a 270-130 gr Nosler AB at 3100 hangs with some magnum cartriges to 500 yards for trajectory.
120 TTSX in the 280 as well...

25-06. The .270 110 sounds very interesting also. Maybe a little more versatile.

7mm SAUM not really a magnum, more like a 280AI in a short action. Rifles are cheap, cases are plentiful, remington, Norma, and Nosler and 7mm bullets have great BC for long range, with tons of em out there. Mine is a model 7 stainless/synthetic, 22 inch barrel and it cost around 550 dollars. Dont believe what some say about the short/fat rounds, they feed slick as snot.
Im also a big fan of the 6.5X55, in a modern rifle its right on the heels of the .270win, which if you dont reload is the way to go, lots of good cartirdges out there that a flat shooting low recoiling...

Why not a plain' ol 243? Plenty of good bullets from 80-100 grs, very popular, low recoil, modest report, flat shooting, and effective...
