David,
Whats being used for mass in the upstiars heat system?
Do the tubes lay between sleepers on the floor...
or are they on the bottom of the sub-floor?(ceiling of basement)

Lookin' good!

Most of the lumber is from canada. I'm not sure what company. The local stuff is junk, and the price is through the roof. The company I work for has it all barged in.................

The lumber seems to have a doug-fir look about it.
Tis a redder hue than it tis here.

Joel I noticed you guys wrapped the whole thing in Tyvek. Just curious and it was hard for me to not do it, but based on our engineer we only wrapped the doors and windows.

Some people claim that Tyvek breathes, but I know folks that use it for groundcloth on wet ground and they wouldn't if it was breathing that water back at them. So visqueen on the inside with acoustical sealant, Tyvek on the outside, where does the water go, specially as wet as that lumber got?

Big difference between breathing and letting droplets through. The ideal is to get the place dried in and get enough heat to dry it below 12-15%MC everywhere before hanging the vapor barrier inside.

You are correct though because the water has to vaporize before it can find a hole to leave through and this is not a great time of year to vaporize water in SE. The air is already hitting 100%RH every day! And seldom dropping below it.

And lighting salamanders in there will only put more water in the air...

Muley that last post didn't look quite right somehow!

I'm thinking a bit of editing could help maintain your normal masculine persona (grin)
