Why do the lyrics to Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) go through my head every time I open this thread?

I really don't know. Perhaps listening to GOOD country and western would allow better songs to come through.

222- you mean the act that sings about "Bang in your ying-yang" isn't the pinnacle? While it may not be good c&w music, the lyrics to Save a Horse are awfully fitting for the owners of the "Love Shack!" Right down to buying the bar a double round of Crown!

Sorry man, I've always changed the station before I could learn the lyrics. I'm very unimpressed with the direction that C&W has headed in the last several years. There are still a few good acts out there, but they're outnumbered. Don't take this as a personal flame, I'm just venting one of my frustrations about the world changing around me.

Nice "Huntin' Shack" you got there David.

Is it too late for a time share?

My boss is just startin' his retirement place in Hollis near the IFA terminal. He's been trying to talk us into working for a week for a hunting time share.

I know I'd get screwed. "Any week in Jan or Feb is yours" he'd say.

Snapped a few photos today whilst at the house. Nothing too big to report, other than some siding and some windows. Some of the doors arrived today and they will be setting the cedar logs for the covered front porch tomorrow...

I'm waaaay glad we made the last minute change, and placed two more windows above the end wall... it lets in lots of sunlight in the late afternoon.....

I like the metal roofing. I need to have the roof redone one of these days, and was thinking metal was the way to go.

This new stuff that hides the screws is nice and clean looking... even if we weren't using the roof runoff as our water source I'd go with metal.... IMO it looks better than asphalt shingles....

Now all you need is a widow's walk to get rid of excess beer!

Hey Bill or Dave are you guys gonna have snowhooks put on the roof? Or is there enough snow there to even worry about it? I built a 24x32 log cabin with metal roof and after last spring decided it needed snowguards!

House looks good guys .

I know what you mean about moving slow, I'm laying floor in the little spec home I'm building, I'm sick of seeing the place.

I'm not exactly sure what the snow hooks are... but there is a strip of sheet metal on the main roof, just above the edge that I believe is to keep snow from sliding off. They just haven't installed it over the trophy room yet... we get a couple of inches accumulation every once in a while, but its enough to warrant having them....

Ahhh I see them now, twas a better shot of the trophy room so I didn't peruse the main roof as closely as I should have.

You'll be glad you have them, if just a couple of inches of accumulation is all you get. I'm having to do 3-4 rows of them across the roof for the heavier snow loads we get. Big load of snow with ice on the bottom is an impressive sight when it turns loose, RIGHT NOW, on a pretty spring day.

Let me know if you're gonna be in Fairbanks again, I'll buy you a beer. Last time you were gone by the time I read the post you had even been here.

Nice to see new pics...I'm hoping you're out hunting today? Being at work sucks...

TLFW, we're gonna need the smoker hookup before spring!

It is starting to look like a good sized place...
