Place looks really good Dave and Bill! BTW where is Bill, working? Nice location, beautiful house, where's the stripper pole? Is that why it's called the sitting room? Kinda hard to get a lap dance if you don't make a lap I guess.

We had a near 24' combined tide, the other day. I tried to video both extremes,to illustrate the magnitude.

Turned out pretty good.

Stick,

If you get the opportunity, I for one would like to see those pics. I'm accustomed to large tidal swings...but the difference here is so much flat ground! (Even one in Alaska could be considered a "flatlander," eh? )

David,

South of us on the lower peninsula are a couple of places that have a narrows that really rock and roll! The narrow channel seperating Tutka lagoon from Tutka bay really rocks when the tide is going out! Now that I think about it, the scenery there mimicks those in your pics...other than of course, the swell batchl'r pad is missin'

best,
bhtr

Boondocker, I hope he gets the rails up before we're tenting on the deck!
Dave's view is a lot better than my current location!

I bet Dave is thinking he ain't rich enough to have a hunting shack right about now. Grin

If he'd charge for some of those trips ( other than the liquid currency!! ) He might be able to get that Hot tub houndgirl is always talking about!

Did a walk-through with the electricians tonight....should have seen the look on them good ol' boys faces when I told 'em they had 4000 feet of A/V wiring to run in the walls. They've never even heard of such a thing. Mind you, they're all pretty good at wiring a house, there's just never been much call for A/V diagrams in the Indian Village.

Their comments ranged from calling the A/V centers "mission control", to saying space shuttles have less cables.

One guy laughingly told me the house will never blow down in the wind, with "that web of wires" spun through the walls.

Re-reading that post gives me the impression that I came across a little snobbish. That wasn't the intent. Just found it funny that what's common place in bigger cities seems outlandish to folks here sometimes.

They might get the last laugh after all....when the house is half finished and Brother Bill and I are broke........<grin>
