I believe my 140 grain Accubond load in my 280 utilizes 57 grains of Re 19.

I used IMR-4350 with Hornady 139 BTSP for 2888 fps out of a Remmie 7600. It lays the smack down on deer, brother Park.

Non-magnum primers for me -- 56 or 57 grains IMR 4350 and 139-grain Hornady. RL-19 a bit faster but not more accurate.

Being leary of the 'safty police' informants....here I go.

I worked up a load with 139 sst bullets a few years back that consisted of fed 210M match primers, win nickle cases and here is the big one.... an OVER book max charge of 57 gr. of IMR4350. Bullets seated to middle of cannilure. It chrono'd out at an even 3 grand from a 22 inch barrel.

I managed to survive and did not destroy my pet.280 with carefully working up to such a horrible, terrible, taboo amount of above book usage of powder.

It was accurate, fast and devastating load for whitetails and coyotes.

You could possibly get away without using a magnum primer in my load. I doudt it would make much difference.

IMR4350 54.0 grs behind a 140 gr. Partition or Accubond for 2940 fps in a 22" barreled Model 700. Federal 210 primer.

Used some H4831SC with Federal 215 Magnum primers also and was just playing with it a bit. Looked to have some real promise.

Work up to 57 grs of superformance with 140`s. Unbelievable tiny groups and getting over 3000 FPS.

My last 280 liked 60 RL22, Fed 215 and 140 Partition or Bitterroot for about 3050 from a 23" Shilen barrel.

The 280 Remington is overbore.

The 7 Rem Mag is over bore.
