1. 7mm-08 2. .257 Bob 3. .270 Win I'll Take number 1! This is for sure gonna push me over the edge. My gun money will be replenished by February. I need to add a blue/wood rig to the mix and I'm liking the classic in .243 or 7-08

Well, mine's an 8400, do I get to play? 8mm Short-Fat: Shot it for the first time this week, just a few rounds to get it roughly sighted in. I honestly thought it was going to be a bit of a handful from the bench, but it wasn't bad. Pretty amazing for such a light rifle shooting 220 grain bullets at a decent clip.
This is a shooting forum, there is no place here for logic.

right now i'm getting sub .75 MOA with ammo from the '.223 bucket' (which is once fired mil brass/60 gr NBTs for case forming). that's probably as good as i can do with a LW rifle on demand.
i still have to mod the mag/bolt stop to make the 75 gr AMax fit.

Always wondered about that cartridge never have shot on though. How's does it shoot?

Here's another 308... When I get a nice wood stocked rifle to complement the Montana, it might be just like that one! 308 too!
