I heard this today we have to have a honest goverment, with the people thats in it. Where there decission are base on the people wishes . Well these people in this white house on both sides are crouped . help; vote them all out. Thier wages are out of controll for what they do and also the benifites are out of controll also .We are thier bosses so lets fired them and screw them like these few screw us.Take this electrol college away go by the votes of the leagle citizens of the Untid States get all these bumb out its still WE THE PEOPLE .

I have been in this world 60 years and this is a first for me. Honest Government , who are they kidding?

Those 2 words do not go together

A long time ago a fellow of some repute said that the Best government is the government that governs least. I think Thomas Jefferson would be appalled as what has become of us. No body is responsible for anything any more. Throw a half a billion dollars into a non business that goes bankrupt right after, and its oh well, sell guns to criminals so that you can get more gun control, and it back fires on you and its oh well, not passing a budget for 1000 days and its oh well. Yea the problem is that nobody is going to go to jail or pay any kind of price for this stuff, but some Marines doing something stupid, thou I have no problem with it, are going to see jail time for taking a whizz. Not like this sort of thing never happened before now!

Bull. The EC is giving the small states, usually conservative, a bit more pull in the elections. This is by design and is the only reason the constitution was every accepted. It's a promise to the small states to keep them from being over run by the large ones. It was called the great compromise and it's a hard fact of the constitution. It goes along with a senate that has representatives by state and a house with representatives by population. It's part of states' rights.

I see you're from a large state. Figures.

Lets understand that there is NO constitutional right to vote for president.

One of the reasons for limited government is because government is evil, and the list of its evil characteristics includes dishonesty.

Even if you could create an honest government it would still be controlled by stupid voters.

Well then who gave us the right to vote ? When did we get the right to vote ? Then why do we vote?and why pay taxes ?Then there a hole lot more

Beat me to it.

Lots of griping here but no solutions. I'll start.
1. Term limits.
2. Eliminate Gerrymandering by creating a computer program or another unbiased method to determine local and federal congressional districts.
3. Cut congressional pay and staff budgets in half.
4. Limit the length of time allowed for elections.
5.Limit television advertising time to general elections only. Not allowed for primaries. Limit TV ad time to no more than one hour in each TV marketing area prior to the election.
6. If a polititician wishes to run for a different job, for example, a Governor wants to run for the senate, He or she must resign from the position they are currently holding. Why are we paying these Senators and Congressmen to run for President?
