Looking to have a run of these made with upgraded, dark walnut and 24" barrels. The last run we requested was for the 303 British. This will likely be a smaller run. Just posting to gauge interest!

If the wood is acceptable, we will use it from the same source as the pics below, although few of the Rugers will get it quite as fancy:

The 24" A weight barrel would make for a very nice rifle; I think I would have one! I made that suggestion for the Boddington Leopard(a 24" barrel), but no success.

Bring it out in 7X57, and I'll be interested.

I concur. I like my 22in barreled 7x57 but a 24 would be....well....just a bit nicer.

Sights?

There is no accounting for taste.

Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.

Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however,
Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

Clay you scoundrel. I was just getting over my 7x57 need when you posted this. I am definitely interested.

Yes, as a 1-A it will have sights. We have the blanks in inventory now, use them on our Cooper rifles. Hopefully, Ruger will 'pass' our sample and agree to use our wood. price will depend on the grade of wood used. We have some blanks that are fairly plain but others that are almost as nice as the one in the Cooper pic.

I wonder if there will be any left over for the lwr 48? I'd rather not have sights on them, but I'd likely take one anyway.... smile

Similar to Canadians getting to buy IMR powder without it going through the USA first! Manufactured in Canada but shipped back to the US and then resold to us with all the markup and duty.

Same here.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

They will be available in the USA smile
We'll see how orders come in as to how many go each way or to Australia, etc...

Ruger has done a pretty good job of keeping me broke with the different calibers in the 1A's lately. A little more in the hole won't make much difference. I would buy one, providing it's in a general 1A configuration.

I would be interested. I first heard about the .275 Rigby in a book called "Return to the Marshes" some crazy Brit paddling through the marshes in Iraq with Arab boys, shooting pigs with his Rigby.
