Roy, I think the left over 300 Sav barrels from the CE's is a possible. I know there were over 200 Oak Presentation cases left over. Tom

Wonder what they did with the cases? Barn somewhere? smile
Isn't it funny how the decisions made on this stuff just a few years ago interests us today? Nobody cared enough to even support Savage with sales of 99's just a few years ago and now some of us are rabid dogs for the things! If they built new ones we'd probably watch and laugh as they went under again! Reveals more about our nature than it does the rifles we chase.

Savage sold the leftover CE cases directly for a while a few years back, and then the remainder went to Numrich's and were sold off there.

The link to it was posted here and I'm guessing most were sold to campfire members.

Most of them were in 308, some 243's, all started with L.

Alot of them had headspace issues as well, still would have been something to grab up Don, kinda like an early 1959 E, not alot of them out there but still just an E.

New to the site. Could someone direct me to a Fox Model B thread that might have some info on finding the model of gun I have?

It has no serial #/ 16g double barrel/ dou trigger/ fox engraving on each side/ has B K A J stamped on it.

Thanks!

99Cs were available up 'til '03 or '04. Jerry's was the exclusive distributor and only .308s and .243s were offered. Wholesale prices were in the mid $500s or so IIRC. Wish I hadn't thrown out my old Jerry's catalogs. Who knew that they might prove something later on down the road. This was talked about years ago and might be available in the back posts. Can't remember if it was here or on the old G&K site.

Me too.
Anybody have a Savage for sale? Or know where I Can find one? smile

I'm being good and am staying home rather than go to our gun show this weekend. I thought ahead yesterday and jacked the truck up and pulled all four tires and wheels off it...
