One quick note about Linux. If you are a NetFlix subscriber, it will not work on a Linux OS - at least not for me. If someone out there can tell me how, that would be great, but my understanding is that it wont work.

Can anyone provide a step-by-step installation process or point me to a site where that is published? I ask this as I installed Ubuntu/Lubuntu on an older laptop last week (no windows on the laptop). While I have heard great things about it, it seems to be difficult for a person of moderate technical skills to resolve setup issues.
My biggest challenge thus far seems to be the display and setting up a Cisco wireless card. In Windows, I could easily change font/resolution of the desktop. That doesn't work as well in Lubuntu and the screen is barely readable. Once I get past the screen setup issue and can read the screen, hopefully the wireless card will be easier. Thanks for any pointers!
