Going to change my luck this year by carrying my Kimber 84M Classic in .308 Winchester. Just bought some TTSX bullets to try in it.
Backup will likely be my Modely 70 .300 H&H.

Cool! That'll do.
I'm not changing anything (I think). Be bringing two rifles to camp- a M700 XCR in .338 with a shortened barrel, and a 7 WSM Kimber Montana.
..... unless I get a wild hair and buy that .350 mag I saw cheap... or a Kimber Whelen <g>....
The CENTER will hold.

If I end up with an elk tag this year most likely I'll tote my Weatherby Accumark 30-378 stoked with 200 gr Accubonds at 3200 fps. Target turret for dialing in yardage.

Same old, Sako AV classic in .35 Whelen with a 3-9x50 Zeiss on top. 250 Hornady at 2500. It kills 'em.

Kimber MT 325 WSM... If I have to hunt that hard and climb all that much to get skunked, I'm doing it with a light rifle.

M70 3006 Springfield that shoots the 150 TSX real well.
Should draw a late season cow tag this year. Hopefully I can get on one with my 10 & 9 year olds along again. They were a riot last time...
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

I never really Know until I walk out the door. Maybe just an old re-barreled Pre-64 in 7RM. What I do know is a Nosler Partition will be the star of the show.

1. LH Sako AV 35 Brown Whelen/225 Partition 2. LH Rem 700 .308Win/TTSX? 3. LH Sako AV .375 H&H/260 AB A 300 mag of some variety would be optimum for my planned hunt but gotta go with what I got. Steve

I just wish Oregon let you hunt with more than one discipline of weapon for your one tag. I am a primarily a bow hunter who loves to rifle hunt as well. Heck even muzzle loader.
If going rifle, I would love to use my - new to me - .358 Norma Mauser with the 1.75 x 6 Luepy VX III. 250g Speer

More than likely one of these two: .300sav (need to work up a load) or Mosin (150gr tsx) If i get my eastern oregon tag probably the mosin for the extra range. If i hunt western brush probably the Savage for the handiness.
