About a week or so, the night news had a woman who works for a Catholic hospital on a story about being able to get the pill. Her employer, the Catholic hospital, will not pay for it. This woman and her husband, both of whom are employed full-time, claim to be unable to afford $30 per month for birth control medications. She said the employer was "denying access" to it and she and her husband would have to take their chances!
They didn't want anymore children and $1 per day was too much to pay to avoid it.
Birth control medication has become another entitlement.
If you take the time it takes, it takes less time.

from djs: Third (and I am not a doctor), Fluke said that the birth control pill (estrogen) is used to prevent or mitigate ovarian cysts. If this is correct, it is a medical prescription for a health issue.
I've heard that to be why SF takes the bc, to prevent the cyst from occuring in her. She did have a pretty big cyst when she discontinued the estrogen meds. Had that sucker cut off. Regardless she should have to pay for her Birth Control, not you and me. If you can afford to attend GeorgeTown University , you can afford to buy your own Birth Control Pills I agree with that, just saying she alledges she uses the bc meds for ovarian cyst prevgention. I do believe that she is shilling for BO position to require bc pills be provided free by insurers. I don't understand free deal when you & me pays for the bc med through higher premiums or co-pays. Maybe I got distracted by something here at work while listening, but I didn't hear her say one word about herself, or what she uses. I definitely didn't hear her talking about her own sexuality or sexual practices. In fact one of the first things she said was she was there speaking for others. You got it right. I just listen to it.

Many forms of birth control ARE hormonal therapy. Based upon the 'fires reaction/over-reaction to this whole nothing of a story there are a lot of folks here in serious need of hormone therapy. Is this her entire testimony? If so, based on the comments here, and by Rush, I bet NONE of you actually listened to it. Every word in that 11 minutes was hearsay, and anecdotal evidence about other people. If that's it, Rush Limbaugh was way off base and out of line, and so are most here when it comes to her personally, and the nature of her testimony.
I did watch it, and, as I said, it is only about 0bama requiring every HI policy to cover birth control. You'll see her talking about hormone therapy and how that should be covered. But Oh! Wait! Nevermind! Georgetown's HI DOES cover hormone therapy! Her problem isn't one for Congress, and it has nothing to do with 0bama's mandate that all HI should cover birth control. If she is having contractual problems with an insurer, she needs to consult a lawyer. You know that, she knows that. This is just a deception with the intent of clouding the waters to give 0bama cover for his BS mandate - the one that include BC coverage for BC, NOT hormone therapy! Not denying that at all, just saying, the way it's been attacked by the right, and in the ways people have on this board, has done nothing but HELP their agenda. Had everyone just said "meh" and let it be the meaningless testimony it was, it would have died a quick death. Now Fluke has been elevated to victim/Goddess status in the eyes of the left, and is going to be pimping her/their agenda all over shows like The View etc. DITTOS! A non-issue has become a issue.
