Here is the model of binoculars I was refering to. For campfire members they are $149.99, cheaper than the price advertised on the link. http://www.cameralandny.com/optics/minox.pl?page=62038

I just asked my wife to find out today in church - I'll let you know. any luck? Sorry, just woke up. I'm in Afghanistan, half a day ahead of the states. My wife asked the mother of the boy I was thinking about and his grandfather already filled the need. He's got a 7mm-08 and some other gear now. I might be taking him along with my son and I for spring black bear when I go home in leave in May. I'm sure just the right kid will be getting this BLR though!

Ft. Rich - by the way this is the fourth such project I've seen on this forum. Unbelievable place! One of those projects is a 35 Whelen being built for me - I come here to get an education on the caliber on the advice of a friend and wind up with a custom built rifle! I'll be looking for further projects like this, and might even head one up myself someday.

Thanks to all of you that are helping and those that want too but just can't! Every other time something like this has gone on i've been too broke to help. this time it's my turn to give a little and i'm very excited to do it!
Someone find us a kid! please!!!

I hope you can make it back! Maybe we'll get to go knock down a moose or caribou sometime. I'm pretty well stocked up for now on bullets. I ordered a box each of 225 and 250 gr. Nosler partitions, and one of the forum members is sending a box of 225 gr. TTSXs.

Now to keep this on topic - Come on folks, somebody has to know a youngster who wants to hunt in a family that can't afford a rifle!

Well, I'm off to work for the day. Got some trucks to get ready for convoy.... Maybe there will be a kid selected by the time I'm done for the day. I think I'm almost as excited as you Paul!

I put in their FM radio service at both Ft. Greely and Tok, Loran Station at Tok. From what I have heard they are now closed. Greely is still open. Had Moose burgers and Yak when I was at Tok..
