Thank you. An inside joke, of sorts. As my bride to be and I were waiting at the lighthouse at Brant Point, we decided to walk hand in hand along the icy ocean's edge before the J of P got there. As we stood overlooking the Atlantic, a pair of ducks wheeled in, and landed near us. I then realized with surprise and delight that the pair was made up of a hen mallard, a pure bred duck, and an obvious hybrid. As a fanatical waterfowl hunter, I saw it for exactly what it was; a black duck mallard cross. The beautiful irony. I explained it to my girl and we giggled and maybe shed a tear or two, as well as a kiss.

Seconds after I took the shot, our J of P, a Native American woman, walked out. Soon after, with but my bride and the JP as witness on that deserted beach, we were wed.

At our reception for family and friends months later, I had the cake decorated using the pic I took.

Great times.
