Don't you guys think it is to long to be a bobcat?

Its a bobcat alright. A long bobcat...

Damn, now that is a big bobcat!

Not really, I'd say these are average for around here, might be big for southern bobs, I'm not sure.

after seeing the photo enlarged, I retract. Yep, most definitely a bobcat...

And they do indeed come in various configurations, from lean and lanky to downright plump...and with creamy white bellies and distinctive spotting to mottled and flat/nearly grey coloration.

Sure looks like a Bobcat after looking at the blown up picture

bobcat it is, the head is relatively small compared to the body. in the future, if you place height references such as a stake in the ground or a ribbon on a tree, you can estimate the height of the animal and it will help you out on size. This i do mostly for sizing bears but it works for other things too
