I was trying to work, but nobody wants to so I'll have to stay home. I might be able to find a beer if I check the fridge. Neighborhood fireworks show tonight with several campfires in different yards. Tomorrow, I'm probably going to take the kids to the pool since it's supposed to be the hottest day of the week...yesterday was 99*

busy day in the alex area. first I volunteered for traffic control during a 5K run (notice I am not running the 5K run). Then a little parade at the south end of the lake with all the neighbors. then doing the lake thing all afternoon followed by a boat parade. then off to watch fireworks across the lake followed by falling exhausted into bed. Lotsa lake activities in this heat.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.

Staying home. Went to our place in Oregon over the weekend. About 7200ft.

hailstorm on a harley is... non good.
what's everybody doing for this odd mid week 4th?
Were you on the Harley during said hailstorm? We have been at my inlaws lake cabin since Sunday. Just made a quick trip home to grab some clean clothes etc. Then up to my hometown to help my Dad celebrate his 77th birthday this evening. I think we are going back to the lake tonight so we are ready for the boat parade tomorrow morning. We have watched the parade for years. This year I want to decorate the pontoon and participate. Have a GREAT and SAFE 4th of July everyone!!!

Bill, I'm heading over on the 14th. I hope this weather doesn't follow us there. I don't expect the daytime walleye fishing to be that great, but I think the bass and gills will jump in the boat. If the weather is hot, hot, hot, I expect a lot of time around the pool. I do have a musky fishing day trip planned over to Spider Lake.

Got up and started mowing at 7 a.m. this morning. By 7:15 I could all ready tell the temp was going up. Usually I take a break after doing the front yard, but today all I wanted to do was get done. By the time I finished it was pushing 90 degrees. 'Glad I started early, I guess.

Wishing your brother a speedy recovery.
