The floor refinishers are coming Wednesday, so we've been emptying closets, pulling up carpet and moving furniture. I'll have to disconnect the PC Tuesday PM so I'll be off-line for 4/5 days. We can't move the furniture back in for at least 2 days after they've put the final finish coats on.

Well, time for a camp chickenbuck photo report for labor day weekend 2012.

Missy, Scott, Dusty, Eileen and Kenna were at camp by Friday evening.

We already had quite a collection of toys in the yard...

Saturday was also a big work day. We had a crew putting together a new set of bunk beds inside the cabin:

The boys found this beaver skull over by a ladder stand that Tzone has set up.

We're thinking it must have been a kill that was drug into the area by another animal because it really makes no sense for a beaver to be in that area on purpose.

With a lot of projects complete or near completion we put a chicken on the grill and took off from the cabin on a big trail ride.

Nice pictures ND, very nice. A good mix of work and fun.

And just like that it is fall! Lauren and I went goose hunting for the first time and even though the geese hadnt been using our field, we got one flock to kinda come in and I shot the first goose of the season. The ice is broken boys, let the good times commence!

Thanks Dave & Pam we had a great time! Scott really understands why I love it up there, he had a blast. We took our wheelers to the carwash when we got home. Mine didn't need it so much, but his was a different story. smile Those are really great pictures. Can't wait to get back up there again.


I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

It took me about an hour tonight after work to get it cleaned and I could probably do it again to have it look nice. That muck was weird.

I love it there too and I'm always grateful when I get to come up. I plan on heading back up again before deer season starts. I'll try to remember to dump the pics I have from the work on the shooting lanes. Nate earned his keep for sure!
