The floor refinishers are coming Wednesday, so we've been emptying closets, pulling up carpet and moving furniture. I'll have to disconnect the PC Tuesday PM so I'll be off-line for 4/5 days. We can't move the furniture back in for at least 2 days after they've put the final finish coats on.

Well, time for a camp chickenbuck photo report for labor day weekend 2012.

Missy, Scott, Dusty, Eileen and Kenna were at camp by Friday evening.

We already had quite a collection of toys in the yard...

Then Tom and Jack showed up on Saturday.

After Tom and Jack showed up we saw a lot of this:

Saturday was also a big work day. We had a crew putting together a new set of bunk beds inside the cabin:

Me and Kenna were outside working on soffit and fascia.

Dusty and Eileen checked on a deer stand and put a trail cam out.

The boys found this beaver skull over by a ladder stand that Tzone has set up.

We're thinking it must have been a kill that was drug into the area by another animal because it really makes no sense for a beaver to be in that area on purpose.

With a lot of projects complete or near completion we put a chicken on the grill and took off from the cabin on a big trail ride.

Great pictures,Dave.Looks like a fun time was had by all.
Did you complete the soffit and fascia? That's a time consuming job.

A few "stucky" situations that required some help from Scott's winch.

With the little man's chain fixed he was ready to give rides again.

Yesterday we got back after the soffit and fascia.

And with the help of my amigos, we got it finished.

Pretty good weekend. It was great to see everybody, a big thanks from me, Pam and the kids for all the great company that traveled up to see us.

Nice pictures ND, very nice. A good mix of work and fun.

And just like that it is fall! Lauren and I went goose hunting for the first time and even though the geese hadnt been using our field, we got one flock to kinda come in and I shot the first goose of the season. The ice is broken boys, let the good times commence!

Thanks Dave & Pam we had a great time! Scott really understands why I love it up there, he had a blast. We took our wheelers to the carwash when we got home. Mine didn't need it so much, but his was a different story. smile Those are really great pictures. Can't wait to get back up there again.

I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

It took me about an hour tonight after work to get it cleaned and I could probably do it again to have it look nice. That muck was weird.

I love it there too and I'm always grateful when I get to come up. I plan on heading back up again before deer season starts. I'll try to remember to dump the pics I have from the work on the shooting lanes. Nate earned his keep for sure!

Hey just a reminder to all the Minnesotites, deadline to apply for a woof permit is tomorrow(the 6th)

I put applications in for a few of us at home here tonight.

I put myself in for the late trapping option.

I threw mine in for the gun hunt time period. Fingers crossed on that one.

I have to get my doe permit in. Is the cabin in 101?

Good deal. Do we just buy tags like in the past? I'll have to look.
