Well...I cant really figure out how people miss this point?
I mean, I keep hearing about how the governments gonna take away "assault rifles" and I have always said they cant and wont try again.
That this isnt 1993 and more people of different walks of life own black rifles than in 1993.
So if I am understanding this... a middle aged white woman, school teacher, divorced with 2 adult children owns multiple automatic handguns AND at least one AR-15.
I mean regardless of the horrific actions taken by her son, doesnt it show that the black rifle is so prolific in our culture now, so popular amongst people of all walks of life that a ban on them would be a futile act?

and handgun is considered an automatic. VS a revolver. Not a "select fire" like a G18. A STD clip fed pistol is called automatic.

Our household has a gun safe full of weapons and a middle aged white female school teacher. My son(s) would have to kill me to get to those guns if they were on a rampage. Wait... that's what happened.

Maybe this mother is the hero. Maybe she was killed trying to stop her son from taking her weapons.

She was a single woman living alone with a child in an upscale community - the perfect target for burglary and home invasion.

And for the record...its an automatic handgun. Like the term or not thats what it is. The term you think I am refering to is machine pistol. Most guys over 40 know this. In fact as a kid there were ONLY revolvers and pistols. And everyone seemed to know what that meant and that revolvers were not pistols, they were revolvers.

You are an idiot - it is not an automatic weapon. Many semi's are double-action semi's, requiring a full pull of the trigger, just like a revolver. No different.

Well, I remember when two kids were caught in NJ before they could do a planned school shooting, in the news media, the local sheriff's office was saying they seized " two high magazine capacity assault rifles at the home of the two boys"..

and there was a deputy, holding up a 10/22 ( without anything bigger than its factory 10 round clip) and a 30/30...

In the real world a pistol is described as its action type.
A pistol that fires many rounds by one pull is called a MACHINE PISTOL, not an automatic handgun.
