I mean the LRB stuff is good, I have one...But, $500 for a stripped lower?

Was at the Castle Rock gun show today, a fairly small affair.

.223/5,56 ammo was sold out early Saturday (yesterday) morning.

No AR lowers stripped or otherwise.

Magpul 30 round mags going for $50 plain and $60 with the window.

Ar-15's that were sub $1,000 two weeks ago (or was it just last weekend?) were tagged at @ $2,499.

Bought some iron sights for my RRA Coyote upper, an AR wrench and, at a reasonable price of $13.99 per box, 6 boxes of .300 Blackout 147g FMJ. I reload the .300 but can use the brass.

FN FiveseveN's are going for as much as $5,000! I already had one and drove 5 hour's to buy the only two i could find (at 2 different ganders). Im guessing ill make a few grand on the 2 i just bought and keep my first one. Its ridiculous.

My bet is that they may try to ban the private sale of firearms - i.e. every transaction has to go through an FFL. Second guess would be to define the upper as a firearm and serialize it as well as the lower.

My sentiments precisely. ARs are fine within their capabilities, but I gotta say that when the zombie apocalypse is upon us, I'll probably just reach for my 870.

I already had a nice Colt/Bushmaster (hybrid) M4 before the recent shooting, but was saving up for one of those new lightweight shorties Colt is making. Probably would have put my order in for it in February. That's a nonstarter now, of course, with the prices and availability what they've become. Odd thing is that I had a feeling something like this was going to happen before I had a chance to "pull the trigger" on one of these carbines. Looks like I must be a little psychic. That bad feeling, though, did get me moving on all sorts of "bad" magazines just days before the shooting, and some more just a couple of hours after it was reported in the news, before the prices had a chance to "adjust."

Sell your extra ARs and buy gold.

Prevent all the lowers out there from being turned into complete rifles by merely ordering the remainders without going through the official system.

i visited a gun shop my cousin owns this am and asked how ar's were selling. he said they were all gone, and had sold just over 500 since last wen.

I'm not trying to apply logic but why would an upper be serialized. What's the twisted logic of the anti's?

Well, I put up an AR on gunbroker. It's bid up to twice what I paid for it with over a day left on the auction.
