Come on you cowards, $5 and a stamped envelop and you're adding to your account, not subtracting. The guy needs some help and he came here trying to fix his own problem, let's help him out.

We could buy that car for his daughter by the time he gets out of bed in the morning. For the record, I don't know the OP.

In some states, auto insurance policies are required to have an uninsured motorist clause that will repair the insured's vehicle if they are hit by an insured motorist. I suggest that you look for such a clause in your policy. Don't just rely on the word of a claims rep or even an agent. Make them show you in writing that your situation is not covered. A specimen policy can be emailed.
I had a similar situation occur and my insurance paid to repair my vehicle. It is worth a little time on the telephone and a re-read of your policy.
Just my two cents worth on a bad situation. WRONG. If your insurance "paid to repair" your vehicle, it's because you had comprehensive and collision. Uninsured motorist covers medical payments and in Oklahoma -- as in many other states -- that's limited to $10K per occurrence, which doesn't cover [bleep] making it a worthless rider. Small claims, money judgment, lien against any property owned, and garnishment of any wages. That's the route that'll have to be taken. I've been down this road a time or two with deadbeat drivers and [bleep] insurance companies. (Allstate [bleep] sucks.)
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

Wouldn't your daughters ins cover the damages? Not if it was liability coverage. That only protects YOUR assets in the event of damage attributed to you. It doesn't cover your damages. Comprehensive and collision cover damage to your vehicle. In the event of an uninsured motorist, comprehensive and collision coverages would pay to repair your vehicle and your insurance company would ultimately -- in theory -- pursue the other party through subrogation. In layman's terms, that means the insurance company will file a report and move on.

WOW!! I would first like to thank all the Campfire members for all the support, help, and concern about my daughter. I had no idea that something like this would happen. I was just tring to sell a few guns, to help get my daughter into a decent car again. Thanks to the members who are helping out by, purchasing a gun or 2, or donating, or just showing your concern. I help my friends, and people in the clubs I'm in and don't charge them for my time. I beleive the is carma coming back to me.
I have sold all but the single shot Winchester 37a, 20 gauge. One member and I are still working out the details.
Thanks again to everybody.

From a fellow cheesehead... http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/vehicles/ins-req.htmAuto insurance requirements (en espaol) Liability insurance Minimum liability coverage amounts are: $10,000 for property damage $25,000 for the injury or death of one person $50,000 for the injury or death of more than one person Proof of insurance Drivers and owners of motor vehicles are required to show proof of insurance at traffic stops/accidents if requested by law enforcement. Proof is not necessary for trailers or semi-trailers. Operating a motor vehicle without insurance may result in a fine of up to $500. Drivers and owners who fail to show proof of insurance at the time of the stop/accident may be fined up to $10. Offering proof of insurance that is found to be fraudulent may result in a fine of up to $5,000. There is no requirement that you provide proof of insurance when you obtain your driver license or are registering a vehicle, unless that information is requested by DMV and is a requirement before reinstatement of a driver license after a suspension or revocation.
