Ok I just got back to the house and measured the thickness.

The case mouth measures .008 thou thick, one inch from case mouth .014 thou, right before the case wall and head junction is .018. The first two measurements seem reasonable to me. However I think the last one seems thin in comparison to all the cases I have measured before.
