That would be a pretty good trick for her to get in and out of security unless she goes through the trouble of buying another ticket passin through security,and then just coming out with the folks that was on the plane she was supposed to be on.
Maybe your friend should wait right out side the security gate at the airport and see where it goes from there.
if he goes to the ticket counter they will issue a gate pass that will allow you through security, all he has to say is he would like to assist his wife upon her arrival, he goes to the gate and when she doesn't get off the plane he has proof.

Personally, I think you need to confront her first. Tell her you saw her, where, and what you thought you witnessed. There MAY be a valid reason/excuse. You don't want to accuse falsely or ruin a marriage or a friendship over something that MAY be innocent. Either way, it won't be easy.

Either way, the buddy needs to know about it. Like someone else said I would approach it carefully and just say "I have something to tell you and there may be a very good explanation for this but this is what I saw...." Let him take it from there with the passport checks etc.
