Matter of fact, I specifically said I hunt/trap "Predators" for the fur, and pointed out that I do it legally and as humanly as possible, so like you, I don't feel a need to apologise to anyone.
I simply called the dumb ass on his hypocracy cause if saying it's ok to kill Cats but Coons are to cute for killing isn't hypocritical I don't know what is.
If I want to see or hear hypocracy, I'll turn on the news.

I've shot ONE cat in my life.. and that was about 1989, up in Washington, and way out in the woods, where there was a cat that was so full of mange and sickly, I put him out of his misery...

I joke about shooting cats, just because I don't care for them.. I don't shoot raccoons because I like them.... that is my personal choice, just as what you do is your choice...

I didn't argue against it or condemn you for doing so, I just said I couldn't or wouldn't do.... no more than differences of opinions.. on ONE subject.

sage rats, and other vermin targets of opportunity, I don't have a problem with as I shoot many of those... guess that makes me a hypocrite in your eyes also.. so be it..
