There will be the last hearings on these bills in this committee tonight from 6-10 pm in Room 10 of the MN State Office Building for anybody who wants to attend and offer testimony.

I got alot of undeliverable replys from people no longer in office. I emailed you a current list of the reps on the committee and this petition to sign:

Thanks Jim, I sent them all an email explaining that I'm hanging on by a thread as far as my interest in being a MN citizen. The crazy dayton taxes and other stupid liberal agendas are quite enough, if gun control gains traction in MN I'd pick up my family and move to SD or ND.

How's that for a message? I wasn't just saying I'd be upset with MN government, I told em I'd move.

Actually, I think they'd get a lot of that in real life. I hope the Dakotas can handle all of us 2A MN refugees.

Dave, I don't know if politicians believe people when they say they will leave, but consider that if you leave, you won't be there to vote against them. You may not vote for them, but you aren't voting against them and thus, your leaving isn't as problematic for their personal future as your voting "for the other guy".

The thought has certainly crossed my mind a lot in the last few months. I'm not in a situation where I can do that for about 10 more years. But I think I need to start preparing myself for the inevitable.

The folks that represent Dave most likely do just that. He lives in a rural area of MN where the congressmen represent what we believe in.

The issue lies in the southern 4-5 counties. and the voters in northern St. Louis Co. that seem to control the rest of MN.

HF169, he wants us to be able to put scopes on our muzzle loaders.

That's my rep.

And yeah, he does know I'm serious. And no it's not supposed to be a threat in any way towards him. He has hometown support, he has nothing to worry about on election day.

My hopes are that he can use statements such as mine when he converses with his fellow reps to express the gravity of the situation.

From what I heard at the hearings yesterday they key to stopping this will be outstate/rural DFLers willing to cross party lines and vote against the metro DFLers introduced bills. I spoke with the woman Senator from Brainerd who is the most northerly Republican in the MN Senate as she was walking through the waiting line shaking hands and thanking people for being there.

I think that there are enough pissed-off people that are expressing their anger right now to make a difference.

The metro-area liberals don't have to worry about re-election based upon these proposed draconian laws and how they vote on them. Outstate DFLers, on the other hand......

I am just worried about how pressure is being applied to pro-gun DFLers behind the scenes. The president coming here did NOT give me warm-fuzzy feelings at all.
