Thankfully this one didn't. I have had grizzlies bluff and I messed my pants. We had them at our cabin when I was a kid in the 60's and had a big male bluff. I ran to the house, jumped through the screen in the bedroom window, knowing I didn't have enough time to open the door.

If you haven't seen a Grizzly charge, you haven't really been scared...

After spending his winters in caves, eating grubs and carion, he was wishing I would shoot him. You could hear him chuckle all the way back into the woods after he saw my watch and whatever else I left on the ground when I went through the screen...

Shrapnel, I can't believe I missed this! Thank you very much for the invite! We are officially moving back out to MT this year.. We should be out by June at the latest. There's nothing Nash and I would like more than to go prairie doggin' with you! grin

That is a serious offer. Stay in touch, me and Rancho Loco can show you a good spot to warm up a barrel or 2...

I don't post all that often on this forum but after seeing some of the images of prairie dogs I've come to the conclusion that you're either catching and strangling them or just not using enough gun. I was out yesterday and figured I would share images of a couple vermin.

I turned this one inside out, do you see his little face?

This is one of my best hollowing shots, only bones left are his little paws and a stub near the tail.

Even when I double the carnage is extensive.

Every time I see a picture of those two boys I have to grin. They're living as boys and brothers should. Every day is an adventure. I don't know Ben or Nash personally, but I guarantee they're both fine young men!

Me too. I don't have a brother, but I shared similar exploits with my dad, a cousin and a mutually good friend. We're all still close today too.

Nice groundhawgs! grin

Nash has been shooting starlings with his shotgun in the yard every morning just about, but he usually flings them out of the yard before I can "document the occasion"... grin

Got a "bobcoon" last night. This ol girl has been tearing up the floor on the front porch and diggin up under the foundation of my shop looking to make her nest. She made the mistake of raiding the cat's food last night while I was still up. Got her running for the trees about 50 yards from the back door. Wonder how she lost her tail...only about 3" of it left.
