Close! Forney is the only other town in Texas that has that mascot that I am aware other than my home town of Bowie. We were the Bowie Jackrabbits.

My hometown Louise, tx was the hornets. Now A city between Austin and San Antonio, TX, called New braunfels has a official mascot the unicorn. They even have a unicorn painted on the water tower. http://www.gounicorns.com/ I am from New Braunfels and before anybody laughs at our mascots being a "Unicorn" just know that we were and still are some bad mother truckers

Colville, WA is currently the Indians. There is a push being made to ease up on the use of " Indian " names. They may well become, " Pre colonial native inhabitants of this land ".....wrap that around a football helmet. The Local High School mascot is is "The Redskins," a couple of years ago there was an effort by the local Sprouter Crowd to do the Politically Correct thing to change the name from "Red Skins." I suggested they change their name to "The Port Townsend Pussies!" There was quite a debate on what the new name or mascot should be, but cooler heads prevailed their still "The Redskins."

Perhaps the most unique mascot I've ever seen is the one of Flower Mound, Texas' high school. They are the "Fighting Farmers". The visual is a caricature of a mean-looking, demented farmer with a pitchfork, chasing something. The Fighting Farmers of Flower Mound. Wow.
