Kahles. I have three of them. Then the Conquest 2.5-8. Have two of them. Just the right amount of power...

Oh heck yeah; that's a real sleeper right there. Put a BP in it or #4 w/ turrets and you've got an awful lotta scope fer the $!!

I've never used the 2-7X FF-II, but think highly of the 3-9X version. The only concern I have with the 2-7 is the 1/2 inch click adjustments vs 1/4" on everything else.

Right now I'd go with Leupold, but would like to see one of the new Zeiss Terra's selling at about $350. Not much more expensive than the Leupold

I've owned these 2-7x scopes and rank them in this order:

1. Kahles CL (multi-zero)
2. Vortex Viper
3-tie. Redfield Rev
3-tie. Vortex Diamondback

I wish I never sold the Kahles. Great scope, if you find one grab it but it'll probably cost 2x as much the others I listed. The Viper is definitely better than the Redfield and Diamondback but has tunnel vision which I don't care for. The Viper handled heavy recoil from my lightweight 300 mag without any issues.

+13 on the Leupold....also like the old Redfield 2x7, have picked up two for $50.00 and $65.00 in the last year....very nice if one is looking for period correct glass on an older rifle.

The vortex viper I have destroys the redfield revolution I have. Haven't looked through any others, but I like the viper.

Toss up between Redfield Revolution and Weaver Classic V-7. Only 2-7s I've used at all, they were both very nice. Replaced both with CK-4s.

I have an old accu-track Redfield that has been great. The turret matches my 6.5 Rem Mag out to 550 yards and it's been a great and reliable caribou getter.

Leupold. Avoid the Burris, eye relief is 3 shades of [bleep] up.

I've had them all. Optically, the Kahles hands down.

Leupold. For the Price, they can't be beat. JMHO

I had an old 1980s 2x7 with the duplex on my 280 Remington. I liked that scope. I am imagine the new ones are much brighter.

For combination of weight, clarity, eye relief and price it is very hard to beat the Leupold VX-2 2-7x33.

2 questions:

anyone using the VX 2 with the LR Duplex reticle?

is a VX3 worth $100 more? (VX3 in 2.5-8) I personally couldn't see a difference standing in the store last week but it was a well lit store.
